What if there was a way to take in the beauty of Mt Fuji, and the bold architectural structure of Tokyo Tower, at the <strong><em>same <\/em><\/strong>exact time?&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So, can you see Mt Fuji from Tokyo Tower? <strong>Mt Fuji is viewable from Tokyo Tower by looking in the South-West direction of the city. Due to Tokyo\u2019s lack of large skyscrapers, there aren\u2019t really any buildings obstructing the view of the mountain. However, on a cloudy or misty day the view can be affected, so going on a clear sunny day is recommended.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now that we know Mt Fuji is viewable from Tokyo Tower, we need to decide whether it\u2019s actually worth going to, if that is what you want to get out of your experience. The red and white colouring gives it that true original Japanese style, and it is a hit with tourists visiting the city.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With the structure standing at around <strong>330m<\/strong>, it is Tokyo\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gotokyo.org\/en\/spot\/4\/index.html\"><strong>second tallest<\/strong><\/a> structure after the Tokyo Skytree. However, the observation deck only stands at around <a href=\"https:\/\/www.japan-guide.com\/e\/e3057.html#:~:text=Standing%20333%20meters%2C%20Tokyo%20Tower%20is%2013%20meters,meters%20and%20the%20top%20deck%20at%20250%20meters.\"><strong>250m<\/strong><\/a>, so those of you who are scared of heights, that should chill you out just a <strong><em>little<\/em><\/strong> bit!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As mentioned before, Tokyo is not like many other cities; as it <strong>does <\/strong><strong><em>not<\/em><\/strong><em> <\/em>have many buildings that are <strong>majorly tall<\/strong>. Apart from Tokyo Tower and Tokyo Skytree, most buildings are kept to a smaller size due to the country&#8217;s <strong>earthquake issues<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And, as you can imagine, this provides for an amazing unobstructed view from the Tokyo Tower!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh4.googleusercontent.com\/ocC69PwH8XhF-t_lDJv0SqqbDdg5Kr-aUiZ9dAFia-5g4_PKZawUfX6jKREGS-anoaSwbL_tGsdcelPj8_noYlKwm8gFQVjohAq0zyMBEyh8_blWCy-Fel4WY_yublfwQnBV1TFS\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>But<\/strong>, how good is the view of Mt Fuji, and how can you ensure that you get the best possible sight of the natural wonder? The answer is, <strong><em>probably not<\/em><\/strong>. However, this does not mean to say that the view isn\u2019t good. In fact, it is probably still in the<strong> top 5<\/strong> list for best places to see Fuji from Tokyo itself.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This just means that there are slightly better views from the city. If Tokyo Tower itself interests you as well, then by no chance will you be disappointed. Mount Takao is the closest mountain to Tokyo and lies just on the western side of the city. Being <a href=\"https:\/\/www.japanvisitor.com\/tokyo\/tokyo-area-guides\/mount-takao\"><strong>599m<\/strong><\/a> high, this natural viewpoint provides great scenes of not only Mt Fuji, but the glorious city that is <em>Tokyo<\/em>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is crazy to think that such a beautiful piece of nature could be so close to the neon metropolis that has millions of people living within it. Mount Takao is fairly easy to get to and is also relatively cheap. In my opinion, this is the best view of Mt Fuji that you can get within Tokyo!&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n<style>.wp-block-kadence-advancedheading.kt-adv-heading_98f235-a1, .wp-block-kadence-advancedheading.kt-adv-heading_98f235-a1[data-kb-block=\"kb-adv-heading_98f235-a1\"]{font-style:normal;}.wp-block-kadence-advancedheading.kt-adv-heading_98f235-a1 mark, .wp-block-kadence-advancedheading.kt-adv-heading_98f235-a1[data-kb-block=\"kb-adv-heading_98f235-a1\"] mark{font-style:normal;color:#f76a0c;padding-top:0px;padding-right:0px;padding-bottom:0px;padding-left:0px;}<\/style>\n<h3 class=\"kt-adv-heading_98f235-a1 wp-block-kadence-advancedheading\" data-kb-block=\"kb-adv-heading_98f235-a1\"><strong>Tokyo Skytree<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The Tokyo Skytree is the tallest tower in the world. It is also the tallest man-made structure in all of Japan. You can expect a fairly similar view from this structure as to the Tokyo Tower. However, the highest observation deck on the Skytree is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.britannica.com\/topic\/Tokyo-Sky-Tree\"><strong>450m<\/strong><\/a> above ground, meaning you are <strong>higher <\/strong>than the <strong><em>whole <\/em><\/strong>Tokyo Tower itself!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>This one is not for the faint hearted or those that are scared of heights<\/strong>. But, the views of Fuji that you can get from this observation deck standing at <strong>202m <\/strong>above ground is impeccable. The best part about this viewpoint of the mountain is that it&#8217;s completely <strong><em>free<\/em><\/strong>. Despite there being many other places with better views of the mountain, there is just something special about Tokyo Tower.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The red and white structure truly is unique to Tokyo, even if it is inspired highly by the Eiffel Tower. The contrast in colour compared to the rest of the city is simply stunning.
