With an estimated number of over 30,000<\/strong> anime series\u2019 out there, it should be no<\/em><\/strong> surprise to you to find out that it means a lot<\/strong> to the Japanese people. However<\/strong>, it is much bigger than the domestic reputation that it holds alone. Anime is watched all over the world by millions <\/strong>of people from different countries and cultures. There is even a dedicated district in Tokyo that is famously known as \u201canime street\u201d or \u201canime city\u201d. For those of you looking to find it, I did some research and decided to put together a guide. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Where is anime street in Tokyo? Anime street is in fact a \u2018district\u2019, not a street. The famous area is known as Akihabara; aka \u2018The Gaming & Anime Center of Tokyo\u2019. Located in the area of <\/strong>Chiyoda<\/strong><\/a>, Akihabara can be found to the north of Tokyo Tower, Roppongi & Imperial Palace, and also to the east of Shinjuku. Akihabara has its own train station that can easily be accessed from Tokyo Central\u2019s train line.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
